Hoofstuk 2: 'n Verskriklike ongeluk

"Ag nee!" roep Malcolm. Hy het vinnig 'n ambulans ontbied. "Kom asseblief vinnig! My vriend is deur 'n trein getref!"

Binne die ambulans was Steve bewusteloos.

Chapter 2: A Terrible Accident

The sun was shining brightly on a cool autumn morning as Steve reached his favourite trainspotting location. It was a beautiful spot in the Bedfordshire countryside with a great view of the railway tracks. Steve was very excited because today he would finally see the old passenger car he had been looking for.

"Morning, Steve," said Malcolm, another trainspotter. He was setting up his camera. "Are you ready for the big moment?"

"Yes, Malcolm!" answered Steve, full of excitement. "I've been waiting for this for a long time. I must see that passenger car."

"Good luck," Malcolm smiled.

"Thanks," Steve replied, looking at the railway tracks through his binoculars.

They waited for some time. Suddenly, Steve saw the old passenger car coming towards them.

"There it is!" shouted Steve. "The beautiful passenger car!"

"Well done, Steve!" said Malcolm. "You have a good eye."

Steve went closer to the tracks to see the passenger car better. He was so interested in it that he did not notice another train coming on the next track.

"Steve!" Malcolm warned him. "You are too close to the tracks! Move back!"

But Steve did not hear him. He was still looking at the old passenger car. The other train hit Steve very hard and threw him far away from the tracks.

"Oh no!" cried Malcolm. He called an ambulance quickly. "Please come fast! My friend was hit by a train!"

Malcolm held Steve's hand while they waited for the ambulance. When it arrived, the paramedics took Steve to the hospital. Malcolm felt very guilty and worried for his friend. He wondered if Steve's love for trains had caused this terrible accident.

Inside the ambulance, Steve was unconscious. His mind slipped into a deep coma.
