Capítol 3: El mentor
Durant les properes setmanes, les dones de Twelve Forever van practicar molt al seu pis de Setagaya, millorant les seves habilitats de cant i ball. Un dia, mentre practicaven en un parc proper, van cridar l'atenció en Ryoichi, un conegut productor musical que passava per davant.
En Ryoichi, curiós, es va acostar al grup i es va presentar. "Hola, senyores. Sóc Ryoichi, un productor musical. No he pogut evitar notar la vostra interessant visió de la cultura dels ídols. Puc veure la vostra pràctica?"
La Yoko i l'Emiko es van mirar, sorpreses però emocionades. "Per descomptat, Ryoichi. Ens sentiríem honrats", va respondre la Yoko.
Ryoichi va observar de prop mentre actuaven les dones. Quan van acabar, va picar de mans.
"He de dir que les dones teniu alguna cosa especial. Tot i que sou grans i teniu un estil diferent, crec que podeu tenir èxit en el món dels ídols. Voleu que us assessori i us ajudi a gravar i fer gira?"
Les dones no es podien creure la seva sort i estaven encantades. Emiko va respondre: "Ryoichi, estaríem absolutament encantats de treballar amb tu".
"Genial", va somriure en Ryoichi, "ens trobarem demà per parlar dels nostres plans i començar a treballar en el teu primer senzill".
L'endemà, les dones es van reunir a l'estudi de Ryoichi, amb ganes de començar la seva col·laboració. Va compartir el seu coneixement de la indústria dels ídols i els va ajudar a millorar el seu so i imatge.
"El vostre grup podria canviar realment l'escena dels ídols", els va dir Ryoichi. "Però hem de trobar la cançó perfecta per mostrar el teu atractiu únic".
Haruko va suggerir: "I si escrivim les nostres pròpies cançons? D'aquesta manera, podem compartir les nostres experiències personals i connectar-nos amb el nostre públic més profundament".
Ryoichi va assentir d'acord. "És una idea fantàstica, Haruko. Comencem a treballar en el teu primer senzill junts".
Durant les setmanes següents, les dones van treballar estretament amb Ryoichi, escrivint i gravant la seva cançó de debut. Van posar el cor en la seva música, amb ganes d'explicar les seves històries i demostrar que podrien tenir èxit com a ídols.

Chapter 3: The Mentor
Over the next few weeks, the women of Twelve Forever practised hard in their Setagaya flat, improving their singing and dancing skills. One day, while practising in a nearby park, they caught the eye of Ryoichi, a well-known music producer who was walking past.
Curious, Ryoichi went over to the group and introduced himself. "Hello, ladies. I'm Ryoichi, a music producer. I couldn't help but notice your interesting take on idol culture. Can I watch your practice?"
Yoko and Emiko looked at each other, surprised but excited. "Of course, Ryoichi. We'd be honoured," Yoko replied.
Ryoichi observed closely as the women performed. After they finished, he clapped his hands.
"I must say, you ladies have something special. Even though you're older and have a different style, I think you can succeed in the idol world. Would you like me to mentor you and help you record and tour?"
The women couldn't believe their luck and were delighted. Emiko answered, "Ryoichi, we'd be absolutely thrilled to work with you."
"Great," Ryoichi smiled, "Let's meet tomorrow to talk about our plans and start working on your first single."
The next day, the women met at Ryoichi's studio, keen to start their collaboration. He shared his knowledge of the idol industry and helped them improve their sound and image.
"Your group could really change the idol scene," Ryoichi told them. "But we need to find the perfect song to show off your unique appeal."
Haruko suggested, "What if we wrote our own songs? That way, we can share our personal experiences and connect with our audience more deeply."
Ryoichi nodded in agreement. "That's a fantastic idea, Haruko. Let's start working on your first single together."
Over the following weeks, the women worked closely with Ryoichi, writing and recording their debut song. They put their hearts into their music, keen to tell their stories and prove they could succeed as idols.
With Ryoichi's guidance, they developed a sound that was catchy and genuine, capturing the essence of their group. As they listened to the final mix of their first single, the women knew they were on the verge of something truly special.
"We did it, ladies," Yoko said, beaming with pride. "This is just the beginning of our journey together."
